The Miyadaiku Yoseijyuku (Miyadaiku Woodworking School) was established in 2015 to train the next generation of “Miyadaiku”, master carpenters specializing in traditional Japanese shrines and temples. Our standard professional program is three years of live-in training.
In response to many requests from international craftspeople who want to learn these skills in a shorter timeframe, we are launching an intensive 1-Month Course with English Interpretation, starting April 2026.
✅Get your own professional tool set
✅Learn the authentic use of Japanese tools
✅Master joinery from basics to advanced techniques
✅English-language support provided
To ensure high-quality instruction, we limit each class to only 4 students. This allows everyone, from complete beginners to professional craftspeople, to receive personalized guidance.
